The resurfacing procedure involves seven basic steps.

  1. Removal of old caulking.
  2. Wet sand, soap scum removal
  3. Etching
  4. Repairs of chips, cracks, holes using specialized putty
  5. Mask all area in need of protection
  6. Spray (proper safety gear is used during this process; such as, full face respirator, proper safety wear and ventilation
  7. Remove masking & re-caulk

Ventilation System

We use an industrial JRI portable ventilation system, it can move up to 1,225 CFM of free air. This helps to remove fumes from the area/room and disperses the air outside to dissipate.

Odor does occur for about 15 min. during spray time then quickly dissipates after this time.

Dry Time

Units can be used 24 hrs. after spraying.

How to Maintain Your Tub After Resurfacing

Clean your tub with a non-abrasive product. DO NOT use Ajax, Comet, Soft scrub, Arm and Hammer Clean Shower, or chemicals such as Clorox Bleach or Simple Green.

USE foam or liquid cleaner such as Dow Bathroom Cleaner, Lysol Tub and Tile Cleaner, Mr. Clean or Liquid Ajax. There are many non-abrasive cleaners you can find at the store that you will be able to use.

Clean your tub weekly so there is no soap buildup, and make sure the tub is dry after each use. Do not leave standing water on tub.

Check your plumbing; a leaky or dripping faucet can cause damage to any tub or shower.

Never use bathmats with suction cups.

Do not leave metal cans on the tub they can rust and stain the finish especially here in Hawaii.

With a little extra care you can give a long life to all your refinished surfaces!
